The EF English First approach combines maximum progress with maximum communicative practice. It develops fluency, confidence and accuracy while improving all the essential skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. The result is successful and effective communication teaching students how to really use the language in real-life situations. It is important to mention that all of these skills are important and all of these skills can be communicative. Oral communication or conversation alone is not sufficient for learners to experience great progress. Listening, reading and writing provide rich sources of language from which students can build up their knowledge and vocabulary.

The General English Programs lasts for 8-12 weeks per level. The General English course is for students from the 3rd grade of Junior High School (15 years old) to adults. The Program combines the English@EF book, audio video, multimedia computers & interactive classroom. There is a minimum of 8 student per classroom and a maximum of 15 students per classroom.

There are several types of General English Program :

1. Easy English - with native English teachers.
2. Access English - with native English teachers + local teacher (12 meetings     with local teacher and 12 meetings with native teacher).
3. Active English - with Indonesian English teachers.
